Trent Richardson doesn't think Miami's defense stopped Cleveland's running game last week. The Browns slammed on their own brakes. Richardson only carried the ball 13 times for 47 yards in the Browns' 23-10 loss, and on Thursday the second-year back said he wants to get the ball much more Sunday when Cleveland visits Baltimore. Richardson wasn't second-guessing coach Rob Chudzinski or offensive coordinator Norv Turner, but he made it clear to his coaches that he would like a heavier workload. Last season, Richardson gained 105 yards on 25 carries in his second game against the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens, whom he respects but called ''bullies.'' Turner would like to get the ball in Richardson's hands more, but said the offensive line has to do a better job blocking for that to happen.

Cleveland Browns Film Room: Game 1, What the heck happened? Part 2

For the third consecutive year, we’ll take a seat each week in our very own WFNY Browns film room and break down a little tape from the game, with a specific focus.  Do enjoy. If you missed part 1 of this week’s film room, go back and read it. It’s sort of a prerequisite. So in part 2 we are going to look at what the Browns did to try and help Mitchell Schwartz against Cameron...

Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden calls Sports Illustrated report “comical”

I’ve read the first story that came out and literally I laughed throughout the entire thing. It’s comical for a lot of reasons and I won’t take a lot of time to go through the whole deal, but obviously it’s dealing more with before I got there. First of all, clean slate, I didn’t take any money or do anything like that. That wasn’t the issue. It all happened before I...

LB Paul Kruger has a score to settle against Baltimore: 'I'd rather make a statement by what I'm doing'

There is nothing like a player who faces his former team, and for LB Paul Kruger that is the scenarion this weekend. After helping the Ravens win their second Super Bowl, the team let him walk in free agency, leaving him to look for a new home. However, after a spectatcular 2012 season, Kruger was one of the hottest players on the market, and the Browns who have seen him up close...

What are the Browns in for this Sunday: WFNY takes on M&T Bank Stadium

As the sun was setting over the western end zone of M&T Bank Stadium last Thursday, I was standing on the mid-field emblem—a script B and an R married with the two flags which ensconce the helmets of the Big Ten-bound Terrapins—along with roughly a dozen other individuals. The stadium, 71,000 purple seats and two end zone jumbotrons, was completely empty. Somewhat eerie in...

Cleveland Browns: 2013 Week 2 NFL Power Rankings (#30)

I thought the Browns would be competitive with the Dolphins on the strength of their front 7 and their offensive line, but Brandon Weeden’s poor performance made that impossible, as he completed 26 of 53 for 289 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 interceptions. Their secondary also did not look good. Joe Haden was great as always, shutting down Mike Wallace, but Haden’s value is minimized...

NFL Rumor: Barkevious Mingo cleared for contact, could play Sunday

ESPN’s Ed Werder reports this morning that Cleveland Browns’ first round draft pick Barkevious Mingo had been cleared to resume contact drills. Source says Browns LB Barkevious Mingo medically cleared for contact. Should practice and make NFL debut after bruised lung preseason — Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) September 11, 2013 Mingo has been sidelined since the second preseason...

The Browns and Ravens may be the worst match-up of the week. Week 2 picks.

The Browns and their weak QB will face off against the Ravens inaccurate QB, who wins? After going 13-3 week 1, I've started out 1-0 with the Patriot sneaking past the Jets. We'll continue to learn more about the league after this weeks game. Here we go: Carolina @ Buffalo - The Panthers played the Seahawks tough at home and their defense looks much improved...

Chick-fil-A Trolls the Cleveland Browns (Photo)

I thought Chick-fil-A was the customer service friendly fast food spot? Now we got chicken joints taking shots at the Browns as if they don’t have enough issues. I guess this Cleveland Chick-fil-A has no love the Browns.

Weeden calls Oklahoma State allegations 'comical'

Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden called Sports Illustrated's allegations of widespread corruption within Oklahoma State's football program ''comical'' and said one of the magazine's reporters has an agenda against the school. Weeden, who set numerous records at Oklahoma State from 2008-11, said he ''literally laughed out loud'' while...

Chik-Fil-A sign in Ohio trolls Browns

Tweet As any casual football fans knows, the Cleveland Browns don’t win much. They’re annually one of the NFL’s worst teams, posting only three seasons with a winning record in the last 20 years. The Browns also opened this season with a 23-10 loss at the hands of the Detroit Lions with Cleveland committing three […]

Week 2 Tight End Ride ‘Em or Hide ‘Em

Juan’s Tight With Jordan Cameron @ Bal Cameron showed last week why I liked himself so much this preseason with huge game vs the Dolphins.  This week he gets the same team that Julius Thomas owned.  I see the Ravens shutting down the Browns, but Cameron is the only thing Weeden has in the passing game…till next week. Ride ‘Em Julius Thomas @ NYG Orange Julius (I know it...

Browns at Ravens preview--- it could get ugly...

These two teams have traditionally played hard-fought games. I don't think it has anything to do with the genesis of the Ravens, who are essentially Cleveland's old franchise, since the players on the field have little or no memory of how that old deal went down. It does, however, have a lot to do with the divisional rivalry...and Cleveland has to prove it can beat Baltimore...
