Blog So Hard Sports:
With the preseason starting tonight, the Washington Redskins have a lot of intriguing battles going on within the organization. We all know about the struggles with the o-line and the fact that they just can’t stay healthy, but there are other questions and battles going on inside of this young promising team.
(1) The Secondary: This year’s defensive backfield has more depth then it’s had in a very long time. We know the guys that have been here before, like DeAngelo Hall, Reed Doughty, and Josh Wilson. My question is at safety, because the departure of LaRon Landry leaves the Skins with a pretty big hole to fill. Brandon Meriweather can play both positions and let’s not discount the play making ability of Madieu Williams.
Prediction: Meriweather SS….Tanard Jackson FS (if Jackson is healthy)
(2) The Health of Leonard Hankerson: I just learned recently learned that “Hank Time” is still not 100% and has been practicing hurt. Hankerson spoke on 106.7 The Fan’s The Hol...

TE Fred Davis
Players aren’t franchised two years in a row very often and Davis was franchised this offseason, but he does make sense as an exception. The tight end franchise tag value is still relatively cheap, the cheapest of any non-special teamer (5.4 million in 2012). The Redskins could franchise him for the 2nd time in 2013 at the rate of just 6.48 million, which is much...
The organized team meetings, non sanctioned team meetings, and the summer training camp have come and gone for the Washington Redskins. This coming week the 2012 NFL season will come full swing as the first preseason games of the year will commence. This preseason will be very big for the Redskins as they pull the bubble [...]
Rev Redskin woke up with the Redskins on his mind yesterday. He believes that Robert Griffin III will set the Redskins free, or so he says.
The video above speaks for itself, and you can't argue against the good reverend after watching Griffin last night. Sure, he had a slow start, but on his third drive, everything just clicked. Let's just hope Redskins fans...
Sure, this loudmouthed character who goes by the moniker “RevRedskin” technically is not a man of the cloth in a traditional sense — although I love his robed garb — but few preachers ever have put the fear of God in me than this maniac has by way of this disturbing video where he espouses [...]
The Redskins are expected to take the field for Thursday's preseason opener at Buffalo minus three starters along the offensive line, but offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said he's not concerned about those injuries at this point in training camp. "It's part of camp. Yeah, we have three starters who aren't practicing right now. I'm hoping we'll get...
Washington Redskins rookie QB Robert Griffin III needed only three
passes on his third and final drive to show glimpses of stardom in
his much-anticipated NFL preseason debut Thursday night.
I'm ready for some football. Even though Redskins at Bills is a pretend game, it beats TV replays of games played between teams that are not the Washington Redskins.
Robert Griffin III is the most compelling personality of the rookie class. We have been comparing him to big signings of Redskins lore, but interest in this guy is beyond that. I don't believe that jersey sales...
Rookie Robert Griffin III makes his debut for the Washington Redskins tonight vs. the Buffalo Bills: the same team that humiliated the Washington offense in 2011, proving the need to chase RGIII. Here's a look at the ugly statistical side of Thursday's pre-season slate.
Up to this point, Robert Griffin III has been everything the Redskins could ask for in a first-round draft pick. He is respectful to the media and fans and has never come off as cocky or arrogant. Like the rest of us, Griffin knows he could be a superstar in the NFL sooner rather than later. His preseason debut on Thursday night against Buffalo reaffirmed that, as RG3 looked impressive...
Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic set a ratings record for NFL preseason coverage Thursday. In other news, competition from the Olympics resulted in record-low ratings for the PGA Bridgestone Invitational and a mere 0.5 rating for IndyCar on ABC. Record Rating For Washington Preseason Opener: Thursday’s Washington/Bills NFL preseason game, featuring the debut of Washington QB Robert...
Handing out labels thanks to the Skins 7-6 preseason win over Buffalo, with a little help from my friends Matt Terl, JP Finlay and Jack Kogod.
Robert Griffin III – The only portion of this game I was able to watch was a flawless touchdown drive orchestrated with ease. So, yeah, winner. Terl’s two cents: “RG3 [is a winner], partially for doing solidly but mainly just...
…to start the preseason.
Tonight the Bills are hosting Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins in their first preseason game at 7 pm. The Buddy Nixon crew will be at the game doing our best to pump up what will be an understandably lukewarm preseason crowd. But don’t let 20,000 empty seats dampen your spirits, as the NFL regular season is just weeks away. We’re going...
