Fox Sports Detroit:
Detroit Lions first-round pick Riley Reiff has signed his rookie contract and will report to training camp Monday with the rest of the first-year players.
Based on the NFLs rookie pay scale, the four-year deal is worth around 8 million.
Reiff, an offensive lineman who played in college at Iowa, is expected to compete for a starting job at one of the tackle positions. He was the No. 23 pick overall in Aprils NFL Draft.
Reiff was the last of the Lions draft picks to sign his deal.
Veteran players report Thursday. Practices begin Friday.

This time, the Detroit Lions really didn't have much of a choice.
The police reports kept piling up this offseason to where the NFL club simply had to make an example of someone.
You can only threaten for so long. At some point, you need to follow through with action.
Otherwise, the threats of discipline have no meaning.
The Lions took that type of harsh action Monday with...
I’ve written all offseason about the knuckleheaded, entitled and invincible attitude of NFL players during their time off. It seems every day there is a new report about a player being arrested and what, if any, discipline the league will bring down upon them. In the case of cornerback Aaron Berry, it can’t be worse than what the Lions did to him.
Apparently fed up with Berry’s...
Many have speculated about the future of Aaron Berry with the Detroit Lions following his 2nd arrest of the offseason this past weekend, and the Lions have made their move, cutting the troubled cornerback due to personal conduct.
While the move to cut Berry is likely met with little to no resistance from fans, it can't be ignored that such a move weakens an already deplorable...
The Detroit Lions have announced this morning that they have come to terms with tackle Riley Reiff, their first round draft pick, so that now means that the Pittsburgh Steelers should be coming to terms with David DeCastro at any time now.
Last week DeCastro was boxed in from behind when the New England Patriots came to terms with Dont'a Hightower, the 25th overall pick in...

Here we go again, the season can’t get here soon enough. Roger Godell will need to restructure the off-season to give the players less free time. It seems that the NFL players these days have too much free time on their hands. This has been the theme of the 2012 pre-season and this...

The Detroit Lions have cut cornerback Aaron Berry, two days after he was arrested for the second time this offseason.
According to detroitlions.com, the Lions envision using their running backs like the New Orleans Saints, with Mikel Leshoure as Mark Ingram, Jahvid Best as Darren Sproles, and Kevin Smith as Pierre Thomas. It’s certainly an interesting concept and a good model to follow as the Saints’ trio led them to average 4.9 YPC last year, tied for 4th in the NFL.
However, the idea is based...
