Mike Florio of  Pro Football Talk reports that a league source has informed him that current Eagles head coach Andy Reid “wants to coach the Chargers” next season. Both Reid and current Chargers’ head coach Norv Turner are expected to be done with their current teams at the end of the season. Florio adds that Reid has been lining up his coaching staff before the things start heating up regarding coaching vacancies. Reid is from Los Angeles and the Chargers look like one of the better rosters in terms of talent to work with, so it makes plenty of sense that he would have them high on his list. Previous reports have indicated that Reid would not have as much control over personnel matters if he were to take the Chargers job, which could end up being a good thing for him. Several coaches that have maintained that kind of control have failed over a period of time. This would allow Reid to apply his entire focus to getting the most of the team’s roster.
