According to Joe Buscaglia of WGR550 in Buffalo, a league source has indicated that the Buffalo Bills are “extremely interested” in Alabama safety Mark Barron, as well as South Carolina cornerback Stephen Gilmore. Buscaglia’s source said the Bills believe Barron is a “playmaker” and a “day one starter” and could end up taking him with the 10th overall pick. The Bills also have some interest in Boston College linebacker Luke Kuechly. But they really have their sights set on Barron right now.

Report: Bills like Michael Brockers

Earlier on Tuesday we mentioned that the Buffalo Bills are “extremely interested” in Alabama safety Mark Barron. Now we’re hearing that the Buffalo Bills like LSU defensive tackle Michael Brockers, according to Matt Miller of the Bleacher Report. If they end up drafting him, they would then think about moving Kyle Williams to defensive end. As we get closer to the NFL draft...

Bills want to trade up for Kalil?

Rumors are always flying around draft time, and this one says the Bills like Matt Kalil and that they're trying to trade up for him.

Buffalo Bills On The Rise in AFC East

Two years after starting the season 0-8, the Buffalo Bills hope to compete in the always crowded AFC East. Buffalo hopes that 2012 will be the first playoff season in over 12 years. The Bills certainly helped their cause by signing defensive end Mario Williams. Williams was arguably the best player on one of the top ranked defenses, Houston, last season. Buffalo General Manager...

Bills upbeat in reporting for voluntary workouts

Defensive end Mario Williams was happy to begin putting faces to the names of his new Buffalo Bills teammates. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had no complaints trading 100-degree temperatures back home in Arizona for a 30-degree day in Buffalo. And Shawne Merriman was so excited to be attending the Bills' first day of a voluntary conditioning program Monday that not even a freak...

Buffalo Bills: 10 Best Draft Picks in History

Bills fans, I'm in Mock Draft overload; burnt out. According to all the "experts"(myself included), it would seem that Buffalo is definitely taking Riley Reiff with the tenth pick of 2012... no Michael Floyd... no Luke Keuchly... no Cordy Glenn... nope, they're trading down... wait, what about Stephen Gilmore? You see, the maddening thing is each one of these options...

Buffalo Bills: 3 Vital But Undervalued Players From 1990s

As a part of my never ending quest to rain Buffalo knowledge down on the rest of the football world, I wanted to go back and look at some of the unsung yet unquestionably dedicated heroes from the Bills' glorious (yes, glorious) past. It won't be a large, all-inclusive list (though I could name you 50, if you'd like), but just a trio of players, names you should know...

LB Shawne Merriman Says He'll Be Healthy For The Bills

Shawne Merriman has struggled to stay healthy for the Buffalo Bills since he was picked up off waivers from the Chargers in 2010. Merriman has battled an Achilles problem since 2009 and saw his first full season with Buffalo in 2011 barely get off the ground. He showed flashes of his game in the preseason, but his Achilles issues re-surfaced not long after the regular season began...

Bills OGs Kraig Urbik, Chad Rinehart Sign Their Tender Offers

The Bills announced Monday that OGs Kraig Urbik and Chad Rinehart signed their restricted free-agent tenders. Urbik started 13 games for the Bills in 2011, including five at center. The Steelers drafted him in the third round in 2009. Rinehart, the team's top reserve O-lineman, made 12 starts last season and appeared in all 16 games. The REdskins drafted him in the third round...

Bills RB Fred Jackson Not Focused On New Deal

Bills running back Fred Jackson reported for work today as the team started its voluntary offseason workout program. Jackson, who's entering the final year of his contract, said "it's just not the time" to be worried about a new contract. "This week [the front office has] the draft coming up. That’s what they’re focusing on. I’ll just continue to be patient...

Seth Greenberg: College basketball’s version of Chan Gailey is fired.

Nobody follows Virginia Tech sports like our contributing writer @HokieGuru. Later this week he will write an in depth article discussing the firing Hokie basketball coach Seth Greenberg. As an outsider to the program, I have a few thoughts on what happened today. I know Virginia Tech AD Jim Weaver said it had nothing to do with NCAA appearances, but I’m not sure I’m buying that...

Breaking Down Buddy Nix’s Live Chat 4/24/12

Two days before the NFL Draft, Buddy Nix held a live chat on BuffaloBills.com.  I’ll be picking out comments made today by Buddy to help get a better idea on what the Bills are thinking at pick 10.  To read the entire chat head to the Buffalo Bills website.   On whether Justin Blackmon or Michael Floyd will be available at 10… Nix:  I think one of them will be there. I...

Bills Would Like To Trade Up For USC OT Matt Kalil

The Buffalo Bills could use a left tackle, and are looking at Southern California's Matt Kalil, says Charley Casserly of CBS Sports. There is only one problem. The Bills pick 10th, and Kalil will undoubtedly be gone in the first five or six picks of the draft, quite possibly third overall to the Minnesota Vikings. In order for the Bills to get up to No. 3, Casserly says they...
