It’s no secret looking at the Raiders defensive depth chart that the team needs help in the secondary. Like, a lot of help. The Raiders have actively addressed other needs on defense with undervalued and, more importantly, under-priced free agents. Oakland no doubt will be following that strategy in addressing its defensive backfield. The team has previously been linked to free agent cornerbacks Terence Newman and Mike Jenkins. And now the team is reportedly looking into 26-year-old Broncos free agent corner Tracy Porter: CB Tracy Porter just told me via text he’s currently visiting with the #Raiders. “It was last minute. I got to Oakland yesterday.” — Josina Anderson (@JosinaAnderson) March 28, 2013 Porter signed a one-year deal with the Broncos last year but played in just six games, totaling 21 tackles and one interception, which he took to the house. He struggled to gain an edge on the depth chart after suffering a seizure over the summer, though he did fully recover. Dennis A...

NFL Draft Wishlist: Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are coming off a 13-3 season that saw them run through the AFC West with ease and earn the No. overall seed in the AFC Playoffs. The good news stopped right there, as they proceeded to go one and done in the postseason tournament on the back of a devastating mistake in the secondary. So far this [...]

Elvis Dumervil’s exit opens door for defensive end Robert Ayers to return to starting role

Losing Elvis Dumervil creates a huge hole at defensive end, and while the pursuit of Dwight Freeney hasn’t come to fruition, the Broncos could already have their answer on the roster. Robert Ayers was drafted by the Broncos 18th overall in the 2009 NFL Draft with the full intent on him being dominant pass rusher. However, Ayers didn’t get off to a fast start, in 2011, starting...
