According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is losing the support of his teammates as well as people within the organization.
“Look, there’s a big reason why they went after Peyton Manning as hard as they did this offseason,” said a source with knowledge of Chiefs president Scott Pioli’s thinking, per Cole. “What you’re seeing from Cassel is pretty much what was expected. He’s a really nice backup, not a starter.”
Cassel isn’t the Chiefs’ only problem. If they could play defense they might have some more wins on their record.
