PLAYERS: Mike Jenkins
TEAMS: Dallas Cowboys
According to Calvin Watkins of, the Dallas Cowboys remain open to trading veteran cornerback Mike Jenkins, even though there were some reports that people within the organization would rather keep him. The problem right now is that there aren’t any teams interested in acquiring Jenkins.  There’s some concern about his participation in the Cowboys offseason program.  Even though the workouts are voluntary, the thought is that since he’s coming off of offseason shoulder surgery, it would be great if the medical staff could see him on a regular basis. As we get closer to training camp, if a key player at corner on another team goes down, it could entice a team to try to make a move for him.

Cowboys Roster Turned a Corner After Draft

With the draft in the bag, there seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel, and the roster has turned a corner for the best. Coach Garrett has methodically jettisoned players that do not fit his philosophy, and is plugging-in his type of players. Drafting Morris Claiborne was a major statement pick, and set everyone on the team on notice, the Cowboys have no problems upgrading...

Cowboys Draft Safety Matt Johnson, Eastern Washington

The Cowboys used their other 4th round pick (compensatory) on Eastern Washington University safety, Matt Johnson 6’2” 220lbs.  Suffered a torn biceps tendon his Sr. year. He’ll play special teams and compete at safety. Official Bio

Cowboys Draft TE James Hannah, Oklahoma

In the 6th round, the Cowboys drafted Oklahoma TE James Hannah 6’2” 252lbs. The Cowboys had some depth needs at tight end after letting 2nd round bust Bennett walk. We’ll see Hannah compete and add depth with John Phillips. More Bio Here

Cowboys reportedly might have Morris Claiborne return kicks

According to, the Dallas Cowboys may end up having rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne return kickoffs this season, which is a big risk since it would increase his chances of getting seriously injured. Most teams don’t have starting players return kickoffs or punts, but the Cowboys seem to feel  the risk is worth it for them to have wide receiver Dez Bryant...

Cowboys Will Be Busy Today

The Cowboys have (5) picks today, but will they be making trades here to pick up a few more picks? The Cowboys have gone heavy on defense with their first two picks, and rightfully so, but don’t be surprised to see a couple of more defensive players drafted. The Cowboys had quite a few defensive backs interviewed and worked out leading up-to the draft, so I can see the Cowboys...

Cowboys Draft Wilber

A second Demon Deacon was selected in the 4th round of the 2012 NFL draft on Saturday as Deacon defender Kyle Wilber was selected by the Dallas Cowboys.

Cowboys get S Matt Johnson to end 4th round

IRVING, Texas (AP)-- The Dallas Cowboys have selected Eastern Washington safety Matt Johnson with the final pick of the fourth round. The 6-foot-1, 216-pound Johnson was the 135th overall pick. That was the 40th and last selection in the fourth round Saturday. Through their first four picks in the draft, the Cowboys selected four defensive players. It is the first time since 1982...

Wilber gives Cowboys options galore

The Dallas Cowboys picked Wake Forest linebacker Kyle Wilber in the fourth round with the 114th overall selection of the 2012 NFL Draft.

Some thoughts from Non professional eyes

After three days and seven selections for the Cowboys the NFL Draft has ended. As everyone knows the Cowboys made their biggest selection on Thursday night when they traded up eight spots and selected cornerback Morris Claiborne from LSU. With Claiborne and Brandon Carr the Cowboys defense looks to be greatly improved from last season. As far as the other six selections for the...

2012 NFL Draft Re-cap

There were a lot of moves made over the 3 days of the 2012 NFL Draft, but if I had to pick my favorite it would have to be the Dallas Cowboys moving up 8 picks to select CB Morris Claiborne with the 6th pick of the draft. Claiborne is a unique talent who will bring much needed help to a secondary who ranked 23rd in the NFL in passing yards allowed last season. The Cowboys have already...
