As we stated in an earlier post today, Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones met with a number of players this morning to tell them that their services would no longer be needed in Dallas. Right guard Leonard Davis was one. Kicker Kris Brown was another. And now, it’s being reported that running back Marion Barber was among the group as well.According to a source in contact with ESPN’s Adam Schefter, like Davis and Brown, the Cowboys will release Barber.In six seasons with the Cowboys, Barber developed a reputation for his hard-nosed running style and in 2006 became a fan favorite for his effectiveness as a short-yardage back behind then-starter Julius Jones.
