NFL sources have informed the Philadelphia Inquirer, that the Eagles have RB Dion Lewis on the trading block.
According to the report, Lewis doesn’t possess ideal size for Chip Kelly’s offensive system and he’s already sitting behind LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown, and Chris Polk on the Eagles depth chart.
There was speculation dating back to last year that Lewis could be available at the deadline, but nothing came of the idea. It seems likely that the Eagles’ best case scenario would be to trade him for a late-round draft pick. If they’re unable to find any interest, Philadelphia will probably end up releasing him at some point this offseason.
