The Eagles will reportedly sign wide receiver Brad Smith Tuesday.  According to a report by Jason La Canfora of CBSSports.com the Philadelphia Eagles are on the verge of signing wide receiver, special teams specialist Brad Smith.  The story cites a team source that Smith, 29, will sign Tuesday pending the former Buffalo Bill and New York Jet passing a physical.  From 2009-2012 Smith posted four kick returns for touchdowns and averaged 27.6 yards per return last season as a member of the Bills. Smith likely will handle kickoff return duties in the short term as Damaris Johnson suffered an ankle injury but the Birds appeared to be on the verge of phasing him out of that role in recent weeks. Brandon Boykin also has taken on a share of kick return duties.  In seven NFL seasons Smith has only returned two punts which likely means that DeSean Jackson will continue to see time in that role moving forward.  As a receiver Smith has hauled in 101 receptions for 949 yards and five touchdowns.  Matt Lombardo is the Editor-In-Chief of Eagledelphia and also an on-air personality on 97.5 FM The Fanatic in Philadelphia.
