Found March 15, 2013 on Steelers Depot:
The Pittsburgh Steelers had recently released running back Beanie Wells in for a free agent visit on Friday and that visit appears to have not gone so well. The 24 year old Wells, who was recently let go by the Arizona Cardinals, partly because of a right knee problem, reportedly has a "bad wheel" according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Twitter. While Dulac did not say what part of the "wheel" was bad on Wells, we can only assume that he might be referring to his knee. Wells did, however, also have a turf toe problem last season that caused him to miss half of the 2012 Read more [...]

Sanders Visiting Pats; Time to Admit Steelers’ Have Issues

It’s been reported by numerous outlets today that Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is in Boston today visiting with the New England Patriots. Earlier this week, the Steelers tendered Sanders a lower than expected offer. Should Sanders sign with the Pats or any other team for that matter it would bring the Steelers a third-round compensatory draft pick. Of all...

Could The Steelers Match A Patriots Offer To WR Emmanuel Sanders?

Now that Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is busy making a visit to the New England Patriots, several people are wondering if the organization will try to retain their former third round draft pick, should he sign an offer sheet, and if they do, where will the extra cap space come from to do that? Jets Sign OL Willie Colon To A One-Year Deal

Jason La Canfora reports that the Jets have reached an agreement with former Steelers OL Willie Colon on a one-year deal. New Jets GM John Idzik has done pretty well today adding two players with good upside for a reasonable price. We still haven’t seen the figures for Colon’s contract, but it’s doubtful he’ll receive much in terms of guarantees. Colon, 29, looks to be a...
