KANSAS CITY, Mo. Reports that fired Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid will be the next Arizona Cardinals coach appear a bit premature.
Multiple reports have surfaced that Reid will meet with the Chiefs today in Philadelphia to discuss the Kansas City head-coaching vacancy created when owner Clark Hunt fired Romeo Crennel on Monday.
It is uncertain whether both Hunt and general manager Scott Pioli will be on hand to meet with Reid. Hunt indicated Monday that he would be in direct charge of hiring the team's next head coach, though reportedly both he and Pioli met with Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter on Tuesday in Atlanta.
However Koetter, according to FOXSports.com, has since signed a contract extension to stay with the Falcons through the 2013 season.
The Chiefs also reportedly interviewed Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong on Tuesday, which would have satisfied the NFL's "Rooney Rule," which requires at least one minority candidate to be considered ...
