Tweet According to a report from ESPN’s Ed Werder, Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett will be fired if Dallas fails to make the playoffs this season. If Dallas defeats the Washington Redskins Sunday, they will be in line for a winner-take-all match up with the Philadelphia Eagles in week 17. The Cowboys have fallen short of qualifying for postseason play in the final game of the season each of the last two years. Garrett and quarterback Tony Romo also reportedly have tension after Garrett singled Romo out for changing a running play to a pass that led to an interception against the Packers. Dallas has a habit of blowing big games in December, and if that trend isn’t broken this season it could finally cost Garrett his job.
