Peyton Manning will work out for Denver Broncos team officials on Friday at Duke University.

The Denver Post reported that Broncos head of football operations John Elway was part of a contingent that flew from Denver to Raleigh-Durham on Friday.

Denver and Tennessee are considered the leading contenders to sign Manning, who also met with the Miami Dolphins and Arizona Cardinals.

The Dolphins reportedly have been told they are out of the Manning sweepstakes, and the newspaper, citing an NFL source, reported that the Cardinals are also out of the running.

The league's only four-time NFL MVP Manning became a free agent when he was released by the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month. He sat out the entire season after undergoing multiple neck surgeries.

On Thursday, Duke football coach David Cutcliffe - the offensive coordinator when Manning played at the University of Tennessee - told the Tennessean that Manning has regained his arm strength and accuracy.
