NFL games can end in ties. Maybe players should learn that already. The Packers and Vikings played four quarters and an overtime on Sunday, finishing the fifth quarter all tied up at 26. So, naturally, the game ended in a tie. Although, some players were expecting to keep going. Multiple Packers players were expecting to play a second overtime on Sunday, according to Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko, admitting that they didn’t know that ending in a tie was even possible. Sunday’s game marked the second time in two seasons that a game had ended in a tie. After the 49ers and Rams finished tied 24-24 in Week 10 last season, quarterback Colin Kaepernick admitted that he didn’t know they could tie as well. Former Eagles Donovan McNabb and many of his teammates were clueless about the possibility of a tie when Philadelphia and Cincinnati drew to a 13-13 score in 2008. The college rules call for multiple overtimes to decide a game, likely causing many players to assume that those rules w...

Today after reports surfaced that the Seattle Seahawks signed Antoine Winfield, I contacted several sources close to antoine who stated that Abtoine has NOT signed with the Seahawks. A matter of fact I was told that Winfield has two workouts scheduled this week. NFL Draft Diamonds is hearing that both Minnesota Vikings and the Seattle […]

After a strong outing against the Packers on Sunday, Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier made it clear that Christian Ponder will start again this week.
“I don’t know any reason why he wouldn’t (start again),” Frazier said. “I don’t know if it would be helping our football team not to start him.”

The Minnesota Vikings have little left to play for, with a fan base largely focused on positioning for next year's draft. Landing the first overall pick is a realistic outcome.
Their competitiveness hasn't waned despite this dismal 2-8-1 record, but their late-game command has sure been missing. That goes for everyone.
Consider the reaction from both sides of the ball after...
Maybe there's never been a more fitting end to a game thanthe Minnesota Vikings' tie at Green Bay.Minnesota controlled the game early and then gave up 16straight points to the Packers to go into overtime. Each team kicked a fieldgoal in overtime before the clock ran out, ending in the NFL's first tie sinceNov. 11 of last season and the Vikings' first since 1978 in...
The Skinny: Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson continues to be limited by a strained groin muscle that significantly hampered him last week against the Seattle Seahawks. Peterson suffered the injury two weeks ago and has been limited since that time. Peterson returned to a light practice on Friday for the first time this week, which is where the questionable tag came from.

Leslie Frazier is essentially stuck. He has a starting quarterback he would love to back but has been wildly inconsistent. He has another quarterback everyone else wants to see but might not be ready yet. His choice reflects the reality: He is trying to save his job.
Vikings cornerback A.J. Jefferson didn’t finish Sunday’s tie with the Green Bay Packers, and it appears he wont’ finish the season in Minnesota either.
Jefferson, 25, was arrested early on Monday morning on a domestic assault complaint, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The team then quickly decided to release the four-year veteran after his arrest, according to USA...
So, a Tie Happened
I have been trying to think of what my emotions are after the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers ended up tying on Sunday afternoon, 26 all.
On one hand, I'm just furious. A tie is just as bad as winning at this point in the year, because draft positioning is largely determined by your loss record, not your win record. Think about a playoff...
After watching the Minnesota Vikings battle to a 26-26 tie with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon, I am fully in support of the team turning to Isuro "Kamikaze" Tanaka to be the team's new motivational speaker.Yes, the former fictional import for the Cleveland Indians in Major League II could teach the Vikings a thing or two about throwing caution to the wind...
Running back Adrian Peterson and receiver Greg Jennings are
active for the Minnesota Vikings against the Packers.
The Green Bay Packers entered this game at third place in the NFC North, needing a victory over the Minnesota Vikings to get back into the divisional race. Through two quarters, they have looked every bit of a third-place team, allowing the Vikings to take a 13-6 lead to the locker room. On the Vikings’ […]The post Green Bay Packers stumble to 13-6 deficit in first half against...
