Per a tweet for ESPN’s Adam Schefter, free agent wide receiver is expected to take a physical for the Pittsburgh Steelers, who need help at the wide receiver position: Burress, a first round draft pick in 2000 for the Steelers, spent his first four seasons in Pittsburgh before signing with the New York Giants in 2004.  While playing for the Giants, Burress was released after an arrest for an accidental shooting in a New York night club and was subsequently released by the team. After serving a mandatory two-year prison, Burress signed with the New York Jets in 2011. For his career, Burress has played in 144 games, amassing 550 receptions for 8,457 yards and 63 touchdowns.
