According to Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Reggie Wayne ended up choosing to return to Indianapolis over signing with the New England Patriots.
“Well….. kinda four teams at first. Then three and then two. And you Colts fans don’t wanna know who other team was. I’ll let you figure that one out. Ha! But like I said, I’m thrilled about my decision,” Wayne wrote on his website.
Bedard checked with a league source, and the other team he was referring to was indeed the Patriots.
There’s no indications as to why Wayne chose the Colts over the Patriots, or how much they offered him compared to the three-year, $17.5 million deal he signed with Indy.
