New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley won't be suspended by the NFL for kicking 49ers guard Alex Boone during the Saints' 31-21 loss Sunday, the New Orleans Times Picayune reported Monday. However, Bunkley may be fined for the incident, because he was ejected from the game as a result. Bunkley kicked Boone while Boone was on the ground late in the fourth quarter after New Orleans blocked a field goal. Bunkley was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct and ejected. "That's out of character for Brodrick Bunkley. It really is," Saints defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo said Monday, according to the Times Picayune. "One of the best people in this building. I haven't looked at it but if you had asked me who would be one of the last people to have that happen to them it would be Brodrick Bunkley, so I'm sure it won't happen again."

Still eying playoffs, Saints get ready for Falcons

Drew Brees happily entertains playoff possibilities for the New Orleans Saints, figuring that the question of whether a 5-6 team deserves to be in the NFC wild card race is irrelevant. To Brees, that means the Saints are virtually in control...
