Rex Ryan backs away from Obama's QB controversy comments

Even Rex Ryan knows there are some people you shouldn't get into a verbal war with.  Bill Belichick is one thing, the President of the United States is another. In sticking with this year's new slimmer and quieter version of himself, the New York Jets head coach was quite demure in his response to President Obama's comments about the team's quarterback controversy...

Santonio Holmes survives injury scare

For a brief moment it appeared as if Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes was the victim of some bad mojo. Holmes was absent for the latter portion of a intrasquad scrimmage after a hit from cornerback Antonio Cromartie rendered him with what coach Rex Ryan initially told gathered reporters could have been a broken rib. Holmes 'doubtful' for Jets' preseason opener

Rex Ryan says wide receiver Santonio Holmes is ''probably doubtful'' for the New York Jets' preseason opener at Cincinnati on Friday night, but won't rule him out against the Bengals. Rex passes on razzing Obama about Jets comments

Rex Ryan is no trash talker when it comes to the president. A day after President Barack Obama told an Ohio radio station that he is not a fan of Tim Tebow being on the New York Jets, the normally brash and bold coach resisted taking the expected humorous swipe. Instead, Ryan says Friday that he respects Obama and ''I respect the fact that this is opinion.'' Wait...

HBO Hard Knocks: 3 Miami Dolphins Storylines

Although the NFL has transformed itself into the ultimate reality show, the actual reality show based on NFL training camp, HBO’s Hard Knocks, kicks off Tuesday. Newly rechristened Chad Johnson will do his best to reprise his enthralling...

New York Jets’ Joe McKnight, D’Anton Lynn: Brawl Big Story at Jets Practice Today

The highlight of New York Jets training camp today was a brawl featuring about 20 Jets players, right near fans, with Rex Ryan pulling participants out of the pile. Fisticuffs are a pretty normal part of the training camp grind, as there comes a point when everyone is tired of seeing the same faces, tired of knocking heads with the same people, and irritated about getting up early...
