It appears that the Jags are on the verge of letting go of one of their best all-time players, as reports are coming out the team is ready to release former Pro Bowl DT John Henderson. Henderson has two years and $11 million left on his contract. He had 26 tackles and 10 assists in 2009, his lowest total in his 8-year career with the Jaguars.
The team selected California DT Tyason Alualu with the No. 10 overall pick and Louisiana Tech DT D’Anthony Smith with their third-round pick. A couple teams are interested in Henderson according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, including the New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns.
