According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, the Seattle Seahawks are having a hard time finding a trade partner for quarterback Matt Flynn since most teams believe they’ll end up releasing him.
When looking at Flynn’s contract, it doesn’t look like the Seahawks will take much of a cap hit.

Seahawks Rumors: Seattle Willing to Trade Matt Flynn
The Seattle Seahawks have told backup quarterback Matt Flynn
that they’re willing to trade him this offseason. However, it could be
difficult to find a trading partner considering most teams believe the Seahawks
will eventually cut Flynn, according to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports.
While Seattle has told QB Matt Flynn they are willing to trade him, finding trade partner is problematic...
Seattle was 'in' like Flynn, but 'out' could be a problem
The Seattle Seahawks have told backup QB Matt Flynn that they're open to trading him, but with many believing he'll eventually be released, they're going to have a huge problem trying to get anything for him, according to Jason Cole of YahhoSports.
Potential NFL Trade Bait in 2013
Trade Bait: Alex Smith, Matt Flynn?
Quarterbacking in the NFL is a daunting task, one that requires a lot of patience, perseverance, and skill. Being the leader and captaining a team is a responsibility left for those who are capable of delivering W’s to their respective franchises. It would appear that in 2012, two efficient quarterbacks were left in the dust, exiled from football’s...
Seattle Seahawks: Top 5 Players in Franchise History
With the drafting of Russell Wilson in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft, Seahawks fans are excited about the future. This young team has Seahawks fans looking ahead. But I love the history of the team. Founded in 1976, along with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Seahawks are the same age as me and I have been a fan the entire time. Win or lose, I have supported the Seahawks every...
Report: Russell Wilson seeking a New Contract
A 3rd round draft pick, I think it is safe to say that rookie quarterback Russell Wilson outplayed whatever expectations the Seahawks may have had for him coming into the season. Leading his team to a berth into the NFC divisional playoff round, Wilson played like a seasoned veteran all season long. Thrusting himself directly into a heated Rookie of the Year award competition...
Seattle QB Wilson going to Pro Bowl
Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson has been added to the NFC roster for the Pro Bowl after Atlanta's Matt Ryan withdrew due to an injury.
Wilson was added to the team on Monday. He will be the sixth Seahawks player in the game, joining offensive linemen Max Unger and Russell Okung, running back Marshawn Lynch, safety Earl Thomas and kick returner Leon Washington...
Seattle Seahawks: Three New Year's Resolutions For 2013
In a season where the Seahawks exceeded most every expectation by winning their last five regular season games in a row, going 11-5 and winning a first round playoff game on the road, you might think there aren’t many items on the Seahawks’ “to-do” list before the 2013 season starts. After all, the Seahawks had the top scoring defense in 2012, one of the league’s best...
The Seattle Seahawks & Matt Flynn: What to do?
Backup or Pack-up?
At this time last season the Seattle Seahawks were in a much different state-of-mind than they are right now. They were coming off a 7-9 season behind the elite quarterbacking skills of Tavaris Jackson (sarcasm hopefully noted) that was more up-and-down than a roller coaster ride at Disneyland.
That being their second consecutive 7-9 season (at least in the regular...
Russell Wilson denies asking Seahawks for new contract
Russell Wilson is vehemently denying a report that said he asked the Seattle Seahawks for a new contract. On Sunday, ESPN’s Chris Mortsenesen reported that a representative of Wilson told the Seahawks something had to be done about the rookie quarterback’s contract. Wilson’s agent, Bus Cook, reportedly was “irate” over the report. He told NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport...
Russell Wilson says he’s never asked the Seahawks for more money
This past weekend, ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reported that a representative of Russell Wilson’s asked the Settle Seahawks to restructure his contract.
Wilson’s agent Bus Cook already came out and firmly denied the report. Wilson also told SI’s Peter King that he never asked for a raise.
“I speak for myself. I never demanded or asked for a restructured contract,” Wilson...
Russell Wilson Headed To Honolulu
Seattle Seahawks star rookie QB Russell Wilson is considered one of the top three candidates for offensive rookie of the year, along with Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck and Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III.
While Griffin was chosen as the rookie QB to represent the NFC Pro Bowl team this Sunday, Wilson will be the one playing.
RGIII is rehabbing from the major knee injury...
Seahawks QB Russell Wilson Never Asked For New Contract
On Sunday Chris Mortensen of ESPN reported that Russell Wilson's agent contacted the Seahawks and asked for his rookie contract to be redone in light of his play this year. The CBA prohibits restructuring a rookie deal until the third year of the contract.
Buss Cook, the agent for Wilson, denied Mortensen's report by saying "I know you cant do that yet."

Russell Wilson: I Never Asked for a New Contract
It was reported on Monday that either Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson or his agent Bus Cook were angling to get the rookie a new contract.
After his agent disputed such a claim in a profane manner, Wilson is speaking up to clear the matter up completely. Wilson spoke with Peter King of Sports Illustrated, and let it be known he is not seeking a new contract or restructuring...
