It was assumed for most of 2012 that it was the last season in the great career of Atlanta Falcons’ tight end Tony Gonzalez. In fact, once Gonzalez experienced his first ever playoff win, he informed members of the media that he was ’95% sure’ he was done at the end of the year. But the All-Pro is ready to return for one more season, just as long as gets paid well and doesn’t have to endure an entire training camp. According to a report from Yahoo! Sports’ Michael Silver: the Falcons are cautiously optimistic that Gonzalez, the second-leading receiver in NFL history, will return for another potential title run in 2013. Sources close to Gonzalez, an unrestricted free agent, said he is contemplating a return at the right price, provided he can miss some or all of training camp this summer. “He will come back if they pay him $7 million and he doesn’t have to do training camp,” said one Falcons player familiar with Gonzalez’s thinking.   Silver also stated that sources have informed him that it appears as if the Falcons are very willing to work within those parameters.
