After being out of the league for the entire 2012 regular season, Vince Young displayed his skills for NFL scouts at the Texas pro day on Tuesday. By all reports coming out, Young’s throwing display was impressive. Everything I've read and heard coming out of Austin today is that Vince Young looks great. Can't imagine there are 64 better QBs.— Matt Miller (@nfldraftscout) March 26, 2013 Vince Young's pro day surpassed my expectations. Looked sharp overall. #Hookem #Longhorns— Jeff Howe (@JeffHowe247) March 26, 2013 Vince Young was the biggest surprise, looked in best shape of career, threw better than most at the Combine.—   (@RosterWatch) March 26, 2013 Young was signed by the Buffalo Bills before the 2012 season, but he was released on August 27 before Week 1. Young was drafted out of Texas with the No. 3 overall pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2006. The former Longhorn accumulated a 31-19 record as a starter in the league playing for Tennessee and Philadelphia. He threw for 8,964 career yards with 46 touchdowns and 51 interceptions. He also racked up 1,459 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. Young has been taking classes at the University of Texas in his year off from football. The Longhorns did the quarterback who brought Texas a national championship in 2005 a favor by allowing him to display his talent. With the read-option offense in vogue, it would be no surprise if a team took a chance on the 29-year-old signal caller.
