Rex Ryan has taken heat following Saturday night, for sending Mark Sanchez in the game during the fourth quarter of the 'MetLife Bowl', to play with backups. Sanchez injured his right shoulder joint, as a result of a blow. In the press conference, following the game, Ryan got slightly aggravated (somewhat reasonably so) due to repeated questions from NYDN's Manish Mehta.  Even before the exchange, the always-bolsterous Ryan had been in the spotlight, as Owner Woody Johnson looked to start a new regime, with the hiring of new General Manager John Idzik. It is standard practice in the NFL for a GM to want 'his own guys,' throughout the front office and coaching staff. However, Johnson has always been a fan of Rex Ryan as Jets head coach, so Ryan was even allowed to be part of the GM-picking process.  It makes one wonder if Idzik is really committed to keeping Rex, or if he is even 'allowed' to fire him on his own merrits?
