At least Rex Ryan still has a sense of humor after two  consecutive miserable seasons, including one with Tim Tebow who was recently picked up by the Jets’ rival New England Patriots. Holding a press conference this morning, Pats HC Bill Belichick didn’t give a hint as to why he signed or how he planned on using Tebow, but did say that he was a talented athlete that will be there to compete as a quarterback and a quarterback only, behind Tom Brady and Ryan Mallett. At least Rex still has a tiny sense of humor. (AP Photo) There are probably a few people under the influence of something that have already called for one of the greatest of all time, Tom Brady, to be benched in favor of the chosen one. Rex Ryan says if that’s the way it works out, that’s fine by him. “If they want to replace Brady with him, that’s fine.” said Ryan at the press conference. Rex did say that he was happy for Tebow to get another chance, but didn’t seem to be at all concerned when talking about his time with the Jets, almost as if he was glad he was gone. “I’m happy for the young man to get another opportunity in the league –  It didn’t work out here – It is what it is.” It is what it is. Or isn’t, like the opportunity that was never given to Tebow when Mark Sanchez embarrassed himself and his teammates week in and week out. But hey, they got Geno Smith, who will hopefully light a fire under Sanchez’s ass going forward.   Follow us on Twitter @DownandDistance Down and Distance Editor-in-Chief – Justin Arbogast @NFLGuy_SK The post Rex Ryan: If Pats replace Brady with Tebow, that’s fine by me appeared first on DOWN & DISTANCE - Presented by Sports-Kings.

  • Who cares what Ryan has to say never been able to back up his big mouth for years
  • Ryan should just shut his big fat piehole already, I can't wait til he gets fired this season. And rest assured HE WILL BE FIRED. He shouldn't be cracking jokes anyway because Tebow is probably better than anything he has on his roster, but let's see.....hmmmmm....that's right, the big stupid phuck NEVER gave Tebow a chance since he thought Butt Fumble Sanchez was a better option.

Tim Tebow Inks Deal With New England, Good Signing!

As my day started I opened my browser on my computer to read that The New England Patriots, have signed Tim Tebow to a contract. My first reaction was this is good for both parties, Tim Tebow needed a place to ply his trade, and the Patriots needed another QB to come in and compete for a job.Though the Patriots already had Ryan Mallet and Mike Kafka on their roster as back up QB...

Tim Tebow Is ‘Talented Player That’s Smart and Works Hard,’ According to Bill Belichick

FOXBORO, Mass. — Bill Belichick has faced the Tim Tebow circus and he’s handling the new signal caller just like any other player on the Patriots roster. Belichick not judging Tebow yet

Belichick puts the kibosh on Tebowmania

If anyone thought that the Patriots wouldn't be able to handle Tim Tebow and all the fanfare he brings with him, they clearly underestimated head coach Bill Belichick's dementor-like ability to suck all the happy-go-lucky feelings out of the room. Blame Geno Smith for Tebow to the Patriots

Well, that was good for a laugh. The fact that the New England Patriots signed former Jets quarterback Tim Tebow opened a new round of (well-deserved) derision at the Jets front office. The sports media trolls for sound bites of Tebow bitterness, or hints of Patriots strategy, good luck with that one. They are missing the point. Bill Belichick is the...

New England Patriots cut Northwestern star QB Mike Kafka

Tim Tebow is Kakfaesque. Sort of. Yes, the New England Patriots signing of Tebow yesterday squeezed quarterback Mike Kafka out of the NFL. The Patriots released him yesterday just months after signing him to a futures contract. No reason to write any further about Tebow signing with the Pats, other than mentioning the fact that he’ll likely be QB3 on the depth chart. QB1 is Tom...
