I’m shocked that the caption didn’t read “Rex Ryan: New York Jets Head Coach, Noted Feet Enthusiast.”
The Jets coach and his family took in the opening game of the 2012 Stanley Cup finals, cheering on the hometown Devils in their sweet custom jerseys. Ryan went with the Ilya Kovalchuk sweater, because as everyone knows, Kovalchuk is Russian for “chubby blowhard.” Plus it was the only XXXL jersey in the Prudential Center gift shop.
Oh, and for the record, Ryan is a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan, and he’s not afraid to admit it…
Devils lost 2-1 in overtime.

Rex Ryan wants Jets to be ‘special’ like Giants
Around this time last year, Rex Ryan, as we've come to expect, again declared the Jets Super Bowl contenders, using up enough hot air to fill Times Square.
Fast forward to Thursday, when the once-boisterous head coach took a much different approach, urging his team to become more like their Super Bowl champion co-tenants.

Rex Ryan done making guarantees

New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan was a guest on the Michael Kay Show on ESPN Radio. He admitted that making Super Bowl guarantees over the past few seasons hasn’t helped his team, but rather it put unnecessary pressure on them.
“I don’t know what I accomplished out of it. I think if it gave an opponent fuel to the fire then obviously that was a mistake,” said...

Jets Coach Rex Ryan Regrets Making Super Bowl Guarantee
After taking a few months to reflect on his tenure in New York, and perhaps more specifically, how the Jets have fallen short in each of his three years, head coach Rex Ryan sounds as if he'll measure his words carefully going forward. Theoretically, anyway. During an appearance on ESPN New York with Michael Kay, Ryan was asked about the Super Bowl guarantees he had made in previous...
Rex Ryan regrets Super Bowl guarantee
It has been an interesting off-season with the New York Jets, but one of the guys not making headlines like he used to is Rex Ryan. The normally boisterous head coach has been relatively quiet, not attracting any attention to himself with the gum-flapping that we all became so familiar with ever since his first [...]
Rex Ryan Attends Stanley Cup Final Game 1 Wearing New Jersey Devils Jersey (Photo)
Rex Ryan might have had a bit of a struggle settling of a team to root for in the NHL's Eastern Conference Finals, but his decision's an easy one in the Stanley Cup Final. The New York Jets head coach was spotted at the Devils-Kings game on Wednesday night rooting for the hometown Devils, as evidence by his choice of attire. Technically, the Jets do play in New Jersey, so...

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Versatile. It's one of the best compliments that can be handed out to a player. If you ask a coach what they look for in a player, you'll usually hear that word used multiple times. ‘Hard Knocks’ Is Going to Miami
Earlier today, HBO announced that the Miami Dolphins would follow in the footsteps of their AFC rivals, the New York Jets, and be featured in this season’s edition of “Hard Knocks.” This is funny because I said “foot” and “New York Jets” in the same sentence and Rex Ryan coaches the Jets and Rex Ryan likes feet and you are very welcome for the explanation. In a statement...
Rex Ryan & His Horny Wife Were At Last Night’s Devils-Kings Game
It’s been nearly two years since we’ve seen Michelle Ryan, the beav spreading middle-aged wife of NY Jets coach Rex Ryan. But there she was last night at Kings-Devils wearing those f-me glasses and her Devils sweater. Gotta figure Rex went home and destroyed those feet after a tough OT loss for the Devils.

New York Jets: Unconventional Approach At Safety
The weakest part of the New York Jets defense in 2011 was the safety position. The bulk of reps were taken by Eric Smith, Brodney Pool, and Jim Leonhard. Smith has thrived as a role player in Rex Ryan’s defense but is overextended as a full time starter because of his limitations in coverage. Pool was never able to distinguish himself in either run support or in pass coverage,...

Popular HBO series Hard Knocks will feature the Miami Dolphins this season
After a drawn out process, the Miami Dolphins will appear on this HBO's latest season of 'Hard Knocks', the popular series that follows NFL training camps. It was reported at first that the New York Jets and the Atlanta Falcons were wanted for the job but both teams said no thank you. I'm sure everyone would have wanted to follow around Tim Tebow, Mark Sanchez and...
