Pro Sports Daily:
Reached this morning at his home outside of Atlanta former Patriots and Raiders defensive lineman Richard Seymour indicated that he was not considering a return to New England in the wake of Vince Wilfork's season-ending Achilles injury.
When asked if he'd come back to the Patriots where he was part of all three Super Bowl championship teams Seymour chuckled responding "No way."
The 33-year-old former sixth overall draft pick and seven-time Pro Bowler said he is spending his time working on earning his private pilot's license.
Of course at his age and playing ability if a lucrative offer was presented to the 6-foot-6 317-pound Seymour he might consider a return to the playing field though that appears to be a longshot based on his reaction this morning. In addition the Patriots usually prefer to find more economically feasible ways to add personnel to their roster.

There is no denying that Sebastian Janikowski is one of the great all time kickers in franchise history but in league history as well. He is about 10 (50+) field goals away from having the record, but he remains that far because of his lackluster kicking percentage so far this year. Janikowski is now 5-8 missing a 52, 48, and even worst, a 35 yard field goal this season...
Raiders coach Dennis Allen went back and forth on whether to play Terrelle Pryor against Washington until finally reaching a decision the night before Sunday's game.
Allen said he chose to err on the side of "extreme caution" in defending his decision Sunday after a 24-14 loss at O.co Coliseum.
"We were actually at a point where we were ready to go with Terrelle...
Aqib Talib has been the MVP of the 2013 New England Patriots. That was most evident on Sunday night when he shut down Matt Ryan and his elite receiving crew. Not since Ty Law was roaming the secondary have the Patriots had a definitive, top-tier, shutdown corner. It is clear they have that in Talib.

How good was Talib's game in Atlanta? It was (aside...
When New England Patriots defensive lineman went down with an apparent injury during Sunday night's game against the Falcons the general perception in Atlanta by the fans was that he was faking it; trying to throw the Falcons offense out of rhythm.
We now know they were wrong.
The big man was not faking it all. In fact, he ended up blowing out his right Achilles tendon...

Some of Richard Seymour‘s best seasons as a pro he spent as a member of the New England Patriots. But don’t expect him back in a Patriots uniform anytime soon.

The curious case of Rob Gronkowski‘s health continues to take more twists and turns. Gronkowski will miss his fourth consecutive game in Atlanta on Sunday while still recovering from offseason surgeries. It was originally thought that his surgically repaired forearm was the injury that was keeping him sidelined, but it appears that his back is the lingering problem, according to...
On the first drive of tonight's game against the Falcons, Vince Wilfork went down with an ankle injury and was questionable to return all night(he never did).
If Wilfork misses extended time, the man who replaced him tonight, Joe Vellano, could fill the role extensively. Vellano was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland and made the roster out of training camp. He...

BY NICK ST. DENISThe New England Patriots always preach the "next man up" mantra, but in the case of Vince Wilfork's absence, that's a tough one to sell.Wilfork, the anchor of the Patriots' defense and one of the most consistent defensive tackles of the past decade, tore his Achilles Sunday night and is likely done for the season, according to Shalise Manza...
The Patriots made a minor roster move on Monday afternoon, releasing safety Kanorris Davis.
Davis was promoted to the 53-man roster from the practice squad on Saturday. He played on all four special teams units during Sunday’s 30-23 win over the Falcons. He filled in on special teams for cornerback Marquice Cole, who was released by the Patriots on Friday.
He didn’t record a...

During Sunday nights 30-23 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriot's undrafted rookie receiver Kenbrell Thompkins had his best game as a professional catching a TD pass in the forth quarter to help build a lead Atlanta could not comeback from. The touchdown was Thompkins' third of the season as he follows up a solid 2 TD game last week against the Bucs, with...
