Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has apologized for comments he made after the NFC Championship game on Sunday.
Sherman came unhinged after tipping a pass to teammate Malcolm Smith sealing the Seahawks win, tapping San Francisco wide receiver Michael Crabtree on the backside and then let go with a bizarre post game interview.
“I’m the best corner[back] in the game,” Sherman said on the field immediately after the game. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you going to get.”
After a day Sherman has apologized.
“I apologize for attacking an individual and taking the attention away from the fantastic game by my teammates,” Sherman told ESPN’s

It’s worth pointing out that Sherman hasn’t apologized to Crabtree but simply for his outburst.
