Richard Sherman has been trying to bring the rhetoric down a notch this year as much as he possibly can. He normally shoots from the hip and tells the truth as he sees it, making him everybody's go-to guy for a great soundbite. When asked by NFL Network's Lindsay Rhodes if NFC West rival San Francisco 49ers were the focus this season, he broadened his answer to a wider scope. "There are a lot of teams to beat (in the NFC)," he said. Gregg Rosenthal writes: ' Sherman also didn't want to get in a back-and-forth with his former college coach, Jim Harbaugh, about the NFC West and called the battles with Falcons wide receiver Roddy White a "nice rivalry." Sherman also said he's not going out of his way to take the high road. "I'm just taking a road I always take," Sherman said. "I don't let anyone push me to answer a certain way. I answer with the truth." '

Seahawks DC Dan Quinn says young LB’s Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright are the building blocks for the future at position

Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has a lot of talent on his young defense, but the secondary is the unit most people think of first. The Pro Bowl laden secondary may be the premier group, however, the linebackers and in particular Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright are starting to make a name for themselves. They are the defense’s top tacklers from the 2012 season...

James Carpenter slated to start for the Seahawks

After suffering two knee injuries within the first couple seasons of his young career, Seahawks guard James Carpenter is slated to start this season, per The News Tribune. If healthy, Carpenter is slated to start at left guard next to Okung, replacing Paul McQuistan. That pairing gives Seattle a dominating combo similar to the days of Jones and guard Steve Hutchinson. Seahawks head...

The Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch continues to not have a date for his DUI arrest that occurred last July.   According to Eric D. Williams of the Tacoma News-Tribune, a hearing on a motion to suppress evidence was continued from today until November 1.  While a trial date could be selected on Thursday, July 11 at a pre-trial conference, it is unclear if Lynch would...

Golden Tate reconnects with referee

Ah, replacement referees. Remember those first few weeks of the 2012 NFL season? When rules were confused, calls were botched, and coaches looked absolutely fed up with the NFL because the league's regular referees were demanding a raise? Arguably the most controversial call made during the brief but impactful Replacement Ref Era was The Immaculate Touchception that gave Golden...

Richard Sherman: Beyond Football

U Mad Bro? Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has been called many things.  On the field, Optimus Prime is probably the most creative nickname labeled upon him while still fitting a G-rated category. Though a self-given moniker, the title was also earned by his handling of Megatron, the Detroit Loins’ wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who Sherman held to three catches...

Golden Tate Reunites With Ref Who Gave Him Infamous Touchdown Call

If you are a Packers or Seahawks fan you surely have not forgotten the touchdown which looked like it was falsely awarded to Golden Tate, costing the Packers a 14-12 loss during week 3 of the 2012-2013 season. Well, not to rub salt in the wounds if you are a Cheesehead, but Golden Tate recently reunited with the replacement referee Lance Easley, during Richard Sherman’s Celebrity...

Sherman Hires “Fail Mary” Replacement Ref

USA Today Sports Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman hosted his annual charity softball game today.  He also made a move that is probably similar to kicking a Packers fan in the shin.  Among other umpires was the ‘fail mary’, ‘shameful’, ‘Seattle Screwjob’ culprit, Lance Easley.  He was one of the replacement referees in the 2012-2013 season during the NFL referee...

The ‘Touchdown Seahawks’ Scab Ref Is Hanging Out With The Seahawks

Lance Easley, the replacement referee who signaled a touchdown for the Seahawks in the infamous Fail Mary play from last season’s Week 3 Monday night game between the Seahawks and the Packers, took part in a charity softball game set up by Richard Sherman. He even posed with Golden Tate before the game. You might consider this a bad look from Easley, but it’s probably the best...

The NFC West Dominates the FXP Power Rankings 1.0. Do the 49ers or Seahawks come out on top?

The 49ers and Seahawks are among the Super Bowl favorites this year.  I put together my predictions for each teams record.  Fans need to remember that bad teams can end up with better records if they have an easy schedule.  There will be many teams this season that are better than their records.  I expect the Colts and Redskins to be better teams, but have worse records. ...
