Found December 16, 2012 on Waiting For Next Year:
The Cleveland Browns site didn’t include this quote in their summary of player quotes, but Tom Reed of the Plain Dealer certainly noticed it. Trent Richardson seems to be indicating that his two rushes in the second half weren’t a part of the original plan, but instead an unfortunate deviation. “We [were] ready for the game,” Richardson said. “I think we’ve just got a game plan, and the game plan we had at the beginning of the game, I think we should’ve stuck with it. But we didn’t stick with the game plan and we tried to go do some other stuff, and the outcome came in a different way.” Some other stuff, indeed. We’ll have to wait and see if any of the reporters ask Shurmur about that tomorrow. [Related: Browns pounded by Cousins, Redskins in home finale]

Richardson: “we let the whole city of Cleveland down”

Trent Richardson had a few choice words about the way the team played today in Cleveland. He kept it respectful and said a lot of the right things, but you have to wonder if just maybe he questions the gameplan that saw him carry the ball only twice in the second half of a game. (On if he was surprised by the way this game went after the team played so well the past three weeks)...

NFL Rumors: Trent Richardson Found Cleveland Browns Play Calling “Shocking”

The Cleveland Browns dropped another game this season, falling at home to the Washington Redskins, who were forced to start Kirk Cousins due to the leg injury suffered by Robert Griffin III last Sunday. It turned out that Cousins was more than an adequate replacement, as he helped lead the Redskins to a blowout victory over the Browns that kept them right in the thick of things in...

Browns can't handle Redskins' backup QB

CLEVELAND -- From high on the ramps at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sunday, one sound wafted up from the lower deck as fans departed. "Hail to the Redskins," sang a group of Washington types. "Hail victory." On it went, the ultimate insult to the home team that started the game with hopes of continuing some long-lost positive momentum built with three wins in...

Browns' Shurmur battles on despite criticism

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur still loves rookies Trent Richardson and Brandon Weeden -- even in defeat. Shurmur would prefer Richardson, his starting running back, to focus on regrouping rather than being critical, however. And the embattled coach also would like Weeden to be more consistent at quarterback. All told, though, he will gladly take both of them...

NFL Coroner's Report: Cleveland Browns Autopsy

Before Week 15, there were eight victims of the NFL grind, and with arguable exceptions, they were all declared 'dead men walking' quite some time ago. After Week 15's slate of games, there would be another quartet of lifeless masses heaped upon the Football Nation Morgue, all with just a smidgen more optimism than that original group of tagged-and-bagged cases. As these...
