The Dallas Cowboys have fired defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, first reported by FOX Sports Jay Glazer. The Cowboys ranked 19th in the NFL in total defense, 17th against the run and 21st against the pass in 2012. "I inherited a team that was 31st in the league in defense and made them better," Ryan said via ESPN. "I (expletive) made them a hell of a lot better. I'll be out of work for like five minutes." Ryan added: "I think I did a good job and I think our staff did a good job on defense trying to compete with what we had at the end of the year," Ryan said. "But the best job we did was when we were able to coach our starters." Dallas was Ryan's fourth team, he previously served as defensive coordinator in Cleveland (2009-10) and Oakland (2004-08) after coaching linebackers in New England from 2000-03.

The Dallas Stars Fire Back To Trolling Dallas Cowboys Twitter, Tony Romo Gets The Worst Of It

It seems like the Dallas Stars are making a run at the LA Kings for best Twitter account of 2013. For some unknown reason the official Dallas Cowboys Twitter account took the following shot at the NHL. The Tweet, which was deleted shortly thereafter, essentially slammed baseball and NHL in one sarcastic Tweet. The blindside Tweet was out of the blue, and the Dallas Stars weren...

Dallas Stars Take Shot at Tony Romo After Tweet Disparaging Hockey, Remind Cowboys That ‘Our No. 9 Got the Job Done’

The Dallas Stars aren’t taking any prisoners in an intracity squabble between the hockey team and their football counterpart in the heart of Texas. After an apparent sleight by the Dallas Cowboys’ official Twitter feed (since deleted) along the lines of “nobody cares about hockey,” the Stars’ feed fired back with a reminder that at least one team in the city has brought...

DeMarcus Ware to undergo shoulder surgery

Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware told Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com that he’ll be undergoing shoulder surgery . The Cowboys hope Ware will be ready in time for training camp. Ware was bothered for much of the season with a posterior torn labrum, which caused his shoulder to pop in and out of place. It has not been decided whether Ware will have surgery on his hyperextended...

Cowboys' Ware to have shoulder surgery

Cowboys linebacker DeMarcus Ware will have surgery on Thursday to repair a torn labum in his right shoulder, ESPNDallas.com reported Wednesday. Ware hopes to be cleared in time to participate in training camp. Ware wore a brace down over the last few games to protect a hyperextended right elbow. He will not have surgery for that problem now, but that remains an option for later...

Tony Romo Back On The Fairway

I never choke out here Juan… Tony Romo and the Cowboys had another season end on a sour note as they choked in the final game of the season.  The Cowboys have parted ways with Rob Ryan, but I’m not so sure that was the right move.  Jerry Jones needs to take a step back and bring in a Bill Cowher type that can right the ship.  Don’t see it happening. Tony Romo In The Seventh...

Dez Bryant Slated For Surgery

Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will have surgery on his broken finger Tuesday.Fantasy Spin:Bryant played much better in the second half of the season and the finger injury didn't effect his play. He totaled 879 yards and 10 touchdowns over the final eight games of the season. Bryant should be ready for offseason OTAs and training camp.

Cowboys would reportedly move DeMarcus Ware to defensive end in a 4-3

If the Dallas Cowboys end up hiring Monte Kiffin as their next defensive coordinator, they would then have to switch their base defense from a 3-4 to a 4-3. According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the Cowboys are confident that DeMarcus Ware can play defensive end and Sean Lee can play middle linebacker. I honestly think Ware would be better as an end than he’s been as a linebacker, wheres...

Dallas Stars Burn Cowboys

Response to Cowboys tweet includes insult for Tony Romo.

Texas Tussle: Dallas Cowboys or Houston Texans?

Growing up in San Antonio, I have been more-or-less conditioned into being a Cowboys fan. It wasn’t something I chose per say, it was something that was bestowed upon me. As great as that has been at times, recently I have found myself in situations like the one I faced the other day when a friend asked:“Why are you a Cowboys fan? The Texans are better and Houston is closer to...

Dallas Cowboys/Dallas Stars Twitter Rift

The Dallas Cowboys’ official Twitter account took a potshot at the NHL and were called out on it by the Dallas Stars. The Cowboys suggested that nobody cares about the resolution of the NHL collective bargaining agreement.  And the Stars’ tweeters shot back with a haymaker at Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. Pictured below is Mike Modano, former captain of the Stars.  The Stars...

Dallas Cowboys and Dallas Stars engage in brief Twitter skirmish

The Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars engaged in an extremely brief, yet extremely amusing battle on Twitter in an exchange that would have made most grade school students proud. It all started when the Dallas Cowboys tried a rather weak attempt to be edgy (as you can see above) in an effort that riled up baseball fans as well as nearby fans of the Dallas Stars. The Dallas...
