According to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego Chargers wide receiver Robert Meachem confirmed that he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery after this past season. Meachem had the procedure done in late January and it’s the same knee that ended up being surgically repaired before his rookie season in 2007 due to a torn meniscus. “I’m still young, so it doesn’t concern me,” Meachem said. “I’m 27. I feel great. Just taking it day by day.” Meachem said that he “banged his knee during the New Orleans Saints regular season finale against the Carolina Panthers. He never missed any time during the playoffs and ended up catching four passes for 111 yards in the Saints playoff win over the Detroit Lions. “It kind of flared up on me over the next few games,” Meachem said. The good news is that Meachem has been fully participating in the Chargers offseason workouts.

It is evident that the San Diego Chargers are tired of drafting from the middle of each round every April, and it's time they lean one way or the other. Recent regular seasons indicate that they might as well tank in favor of selecting USC's Matt Barkley No. 1 overall next year and trading him for a new General Manager and Head Coach. 2012's edition, on the other hand...

RIP Junior Seau

When I was just a young girl living in New Orleans, trying to figure out why the team I loved sucked so bad and growing to love and understand the game of football, I can remember attaching myself to players on teams other than my beloved Saints. Sure I admired the Joe Montanas, Dan Marinos and Emmit Smiths of the league. But then, there were players like the Steelers’ Rod Woodson...
