Rod Streater signed with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent immediately following the conclusion of the draft.
A product of Temple University, Streater’s odds were long to make the Raiders 53 man roster. However, after a strong preseason, Streater left an impression that earned him a roster spot.
Streater is 6th among NFL rookie wide receivers with 28 receptions and is 6th in receiving yards with 429 yard and 3 touchdowns. In a season of injuries and inconsistent play within the receiving corps, Streater has been a ray of light towards the future.
Streater wasn’t sure he would be playing football, let alone a cog in the Raiders’ offense rebuilding project.
"I didn't think I'd be playing football anymore," Streater said. "Honestly, I was looking for a job and just gave it a shot. I might as well work out. I like to work out. I had a good pro day, and things just turned around from there.
I'm just glad I gave it a shot," according to Jerry McDonald of the mercurynews.com...
