Former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison told the Boston Herald that the addition of safety Adrian Wilson was a great move for New England. “Adding him, the veteran leadership, the presence, the respect factor, he’s a guy that’s a terrific blitzer, and a physical presence,” said Harrison. “I think he can come in especially during nickel and dime situations, and come down (close to the line) and play that second linebacker position like I did. He’s physical enough to help out in the run game, but he can also cover tight ends. So he can be that guy next to (Jerod) Mayo who can come in and really make a difference in that nickel and dime package. . . . It’s a fantastic move. I think he’ll help the Patriots immediately. I think he’ll hold people accountable.” Wilson says the Pats didn’t need to sign Ed Reed. “For what the Patriots need, they don’t need Ed Reed. They need an Adrian Wilson,” Harrison said. “They don’t need a free safety that can intercept balls. They have that.

Texans need more than Matt Schaub to win a Super Bowl

That’s right; I said it. The Houston Texans will never win a Super Bowl with Matt Schaub. Before you pass judgment on me; I want to show you facts and statistics. And I’m not a Matt Schaub hater. Hater implies I’m jealous of Schaub’s success, and that could be further from the truth. I believe Schaub is a capable quarterback in the NFL, but he’s not a franchise quarterback...

Patriots looking hard at Wreh-Wilson

Blidi Wreh-Wilson is probably not a name most Patriots fans are familiar with. But it is looking increasingly likely that he could become a fixture in the team's secondary beginning this upcoming season. I wrote about Wreh-Wilson early in March after draft expert Todd McShay predicted the team would select the cornerback out of Uconn with their first round pick. It looks like...

Report: DeAndre Hopkins, Andre Ellington Had Private Workout With Patriots Last Week

Since Bill Belichick took over as Patriots head coach and general manger in 2000, the team has not taken a wide receiver higher than No. 36 overall. That could change this year. Hopkins is expected to be one of the top five wideouts...

Houston Texans: Biggest Draft Day Regret In Franchise History

NFL Draft 2013: Miami Redhawk Quarterback Zac Dysert Flying Under the Radar
