Ravens Think Rolando McClain Deserves Second Chance

Rolando McClain’s troubles in his hometown of Decatur, Alabama almost cut his NFL career short before he could ever reach his potential. McClain was released by the Raiders this off-season and given a second chance by the Baltimore Ravens.  Days after signing a one year deal with the Ravens, McClain was arrested again in his hometown for disorderly conduct. Ravens assistant G...

Still A Chance The Ravens Release LB Rolando McClain

Ian Rapoport reports that there’s still a “real chance” the Ravens could release ILB Rolando McClain following his latest arrest. This comes just a day after Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta said that he believes McClain ”warrants a second chance.” According to Rapoport, DeCosta’s comments were about their decision sign him in the first place and they’ve yet to...

There's a 'real chance' Ravens could cut Rolando McClain

According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, there's a real chance that troubled linebacker Rolando McClain might be released by the Baltimore Ravens. Citing that everyone deserves a second chance, Ravens assistant GM Eric DeCosta explained their reasoning for signing McClain on Monday, who was arrested yet again, this time for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest,...

Ravens to give Rolando McClain another chance

Second chances are running low for Ravens linebacker Rolando McClain. (Marcio Jose Sanchez/AP) Life doesn’t hand out second chances very often. As such, conventional wisdom would suggest those that get third and fourth chances should probably take full advantage. Linebacker Rolando McClain, by some standards, has already used up his second chance before even taking the field as...

Bryant McKinnie’s New Contract Includes Weight Clauses, Again

As was reported last Wednesday, the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens and left tackle Bryant McKinnie agreed upon a new two-year, $7 million contract. As the details of the contract have been leaked, there is clearly still concern about McKinnie’s physical playing condition. The Baltimore Sun reveals some of the details of the freshly-inked deal, which include weight...

Ravens rumors: Baltimore still searching for WR

The Baltimore Ravens traded wide receiver Anquan Boldin to the San Francisco 49ers earlier this offseason following a dispute over the veteran's contract. Following the start of free agency and the NFL Draft, Baltimore continues its search for wide outs. Assistant general manager Eric DeCosta told Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun that the Ravens are "still working"...

Ravens still looking for Anquan Boldin’s replacement

Ravens assistant general manager Eric DeCosta told the Baltimore Sun that they’re still looking for a veteran wide receiver after trading away Anquan Boldin this offseason. “I think the hunt goes on,” DeCosta said.. “We’re still working. The roster is not set. We’re always evaluating. We’re always looking at guys. Guys get signed, guys get cut. “Our pro personnel...

Ben Roethlisberger destroys Joe Flacco in a Baltimore newspaper poll

In my eyes, there is no question that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is still the best in the AFC North, and most certainly still better than Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens. I have been called a biased homer for this being a Steelers fan, especially since Flacco won a Super Bowl and signed a gigantic contract extension. However, the Baltimore Sun recently...

AFC North: post-draft stock watch

Baltimore Ravens, FALLING: The Ravens have been losing some of their best players this offseason, and this season's Ravens won't be the same team that won the Super Bowl earlier this year. Still, the Ravens will be a good football team, but it's hard to imagine them sniffing a repeat without the help of Ray Lewis, Ed Reed or Anquan Boldin, to name a few. Playing in a...

The Understated Fantasy Football Value of Dennis Pitta

It’s been two months since we first heard, upon Anquan Boldin’s departure to San Francisco, that Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta would benefit from the absence of Joe Flacco’s security blanket. It’s immediately clear to anyone who watched the Ravens’ (sometimes brutally bad) offense in 2012 why Pitta would be the beneficiary of Boldin’s exit from Baltimore. Pitta...
