Several New Orleans Saints players have admitted for "whacks," on other NFL players -- and getting paid for them as well.
Not Roman Harper.
He tells ESPN Radio's Hill & Schlereth
: “I did not get any money for it. I don’t understand. A ‘whack’ is just tackle, it’s a legal tackle. And it’s just a term we use for a certain tackle. It’s like, you hit a guy and I guess like you hit him low, below the belt, and his upper body lands before his lower body.”
Harper then got a little agitated, saying, “I got nothing. I got nothing. I just play football, man. I didn’t get anything,” Harper said. “Where is all this coming from, anyway? Where did all this happen? Like, I don’t even understand.”

As I am prone to say when times get tough or super competitive‘this just got real.’ The New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson has hired former FBI director Louis Freeh to get-to-the-bottom of everything that has gone on under his building.
There has been Bounty Gate, the allegations that GM Mickey Loomis wiretapped visiting team’s facilities and the Drew Brees contract mess...
A day after it was reported that the Saints and Drew Brees are about 2 million dollars per year apart on a long term deal and that Drew Brees wants 20.3 million per year, it is now being reported that the Saints have made another official offer to Brees. This comes on the same day that there was some buzz that a deal between the two sides was imminent ahead of next week’s mandatory...
Sooner or later, the Drew Brees-New Orleans Saints contract impasse will end.
The most likely outcome is a lavish deal that keeps the star quarterback in the fold for years to come. But while both camps can then claim victory for negotiating the terms most favorable to their respective sides, there will be no debate about who was the biggest winner from this lengthy haggling.
After last year’s game against the New Orleans Saints and safety Roman Harper, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nate Washington says that he wasn’t at all surprised when Harper’s name surfaced as being a part of the Saints bounty scandal. He wasn’t sure if there were any bounties out on them during their game, but he did say that Harper played the game in a...
Brees with a bunch of guys the Saints also didn't want to pay.
As a person who can tell you with little hesitation how to properly operate a Coinstar machine, I have very little sympathy for athletes when they don’t get the deals they want. But in the case of Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, I’m siding with their franchise QB and telling Tom Benson with a very stern...

It should go without saying that Gregg Williams is the most reviled man in football. The disgraced defensive coordinator has been trashed by … well, everybody in the last few months.
That is, everybody but a handful of Saints players who still support — and even defend — the man who birthed the now-infamous BountyGate scandal, Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports...
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Nate Washington didn't seem too surprised that Roman Harpers name has come up again as being paid last season as part of the Saints bounty scandal, Terrmy McCormick of Titaninsider reports. Harper's and linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbars names are heard on a tape of former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams speaking about payouts for hits...

Real Talk: The Saints have been so defiant in this Bounty Gate situation that you really can’t look at one individual that has been involved and say ‘he’s remorseful’ except for the ringleader Gregg Williams.
