Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is putting his money where his mouth is. Romo is a spokesperson for the "Miracle of the Million" charity, having shot several promos for the organization over the last year. On Monday, Romo stepped up and did what he's asked many to do during these spots. Romo announced he is donating 1 million over the next three years to the organization on Monday during a breadfast with the leader of the organization, Dr. Tony Evans, Dallas radio station 90.9-KCBI-FM reported on Tuesday. The program was started by Evans, pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, when a principle of a Dallas-area high school contacted him about the violence in his school. The program works as an "adopt-a-school" system where area churches help troubled schools. Romo has a connection to Evans deeper than the program. Evans was the co-official at Romo's wedding to former Miss Missouri USA Candice Crawford, who was introduced to the national on Sunday night after NBC cameras locked in on her sitting in a suite during the Cowboys game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tony Romo & His Dallas Cowboys Sure Had Owner Jerry Jones Biting His Nails Last Night Against The Eagles

Tony Romo and his Dallas Cowboys certainly have had a tough time this season beating teams that suck in the 2012 season. They barley hung on to beat the Cleveland Browns and last night the Philadelphia Eagles gave them almost more than they could deal with a back up quarterback playing. The Cowboys did hold on to get the win over the Eagles but it took a solid effort by their defense...

SNF: Journey of The Iggles During Romocember

Good tidings everyone and welcome, once again, to this quickly/drunkenly-typed blog post of one handsome man’s observations of Sunday Night Football as the world slides toward the end of another calendar year. There is a recent report that states there is a strong possibility that Andy Reid will be the Cowboys coach next season. This would be fantastical. This would be like the...

Romo: Cowboys 'playing for our playoff lives'

(Eds: Updates. With AP Photos.) By SCHUYLER DIXON AP Sports Writer The Dallas Cowboys barely beat two teams going nowhere and couldn't hang with Robert Griffin III in a loss during their three-game home stand. Now the schedule features winning teams fighting for the playoffs, and the Cowboys need those games and probably some help in getting to the postseason. Dallas visits...

Dallas rallies again

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Tony Romo knows what matters the most when it comes to the Dallas Cowboys.

Romo sets TD mark as Cowboys beat Eagles, 38-33

Tony Romo will look back someday and see he had more touchdown passes than Troy Aikman. Right now he just wants to win games and get back to the playoffs, where his predecessor in Dallas made his mark by winning three Super Bowls. Romo threw three second-half touchdown passes to answer a strong game by Philadelphia's rookie duo of Bryce Brown and Nick Foles, and the Cowboys...

Five thoughts on Cowboys' win over Eagles

ARLINGTON, Texas It hasn't been the case often this season, but the Cowboys found a way to play their best football in the fourth quarter Sunday night. They scored 21 points during that 15-minute stretch and outlasted the division rival Philadelphia Eagles 38-33. Here are my five thoughts on the Cowboys improving to 6-6 on the year. 1.) The Cowboys have not traditionally played...

NFC East is wide open without Eagles in mix...

The Redskins-Giants game on MNF was extremely entertaining to me last night, and part of the reason was nostalgia for classic NFC East battles in December that mean something for both teams. Remember when that category used to include the Eagles? It wasn't that long ago. But in 2012 the Eagles are grounded, relegated to the basement of the division. We are being dismantled...
