IRVING, Texas Tony Romo says it's fair to say that he has thick skin. And that's probably a good thing when you're the franchise quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys. The same March day that it was announced Romo had signed a six-year, 108 million contract extension with the Cowboys, former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb took to Twitter to share the following message: "Tony Romo 6 yr 55 million dollar extension. Wow really, with one playoff win. You got to be kidding me." McNabb, who later tweeted the correct contract numbers, added to his thoughts the same night while he was on NFL Network's Total Access show. "I'm gonna say 'wow' again," said McNabb, who works for the network. "And the reason I say that is because when you have one playoff win, quarterbacks are measured by wins and losses. When you look at what the Cowboys have been able to do in the last couple of years, that's not win the big game." Romo was asked Tuesday about the criticism that came from the former Eagles, Redskins and Vikings quarterback. "I just don't think what anybody says has any influence on this football team, and what anybody would say in those situations is they have their own agendas," Romo said. "They have their own lives they have to live. Some people, it's a positive for them to use certain things and use stuff and talk about it, and that's good for them, if that helps them get a job or a write up or whatever, that's a positive for them. "So I think, go ahead, use that, that's important for them to get where they're trying to go. But it's not important for us, it's not important to me, it doesn't make one bit of difference to this football team. This football team knows its job is to get better today. That's the objective and that's the approach we take every day." Follow Jon Machota on Twitter: @jonmachota
