When you consider Colin Kaepernick has just 10 career starts (including three in the playoffs) under his belt, some of the expectations placed on him this season are a tad ridiculous. It’s Super Bowl or bust for the Niners and everybody is relying on a 25-year-old with probably less starts than tattoos to get them there. I’m not saying it won’t happen, but it sounds a little unfair, no? Anyway, Ron Jaworski, who hasn’t taken a breath while talking into a microphone since around 1996, wants to do you one better. Super Bowl? That’s cute! Jaws instead is going all-in with his Kaepernick hand. He’s looking much farther into the future. At the Mount Rushmore of quarterbacks! Here’s what he said on ESPN on Wednesday: “I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever,” Jaworski said. “I love his skill set. I think the sky’s the limit.” Leave it to Jaworski to lay it on thick with an NFL QB and make liberal use of superlatives. Kaepernick could very well become o

Colin Kaepernick tells Jaws to pump the brakes on the high praise

Colin Kaepernick might be one of the smarter football players in the NFL.  After getting a huge praise from former NFL QB Ron Jaworski, Kaepernick was honored, but he basically said his job is not done. Wednesday Ron Jaworski said ”Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever,” on ESPN. “I love his skill set. […]

Jaws: “Colin Kaepernick can be the best QB arguably in the history of the NFL”

ESPN’s Ron Jaworski made a very bold statement today by saying that he believes 49ers quarterback “Colin Kaepernick can be the best QB arguably in the history of the NFL.” The only reason I can see why made this statement is because he loves Kaepernick’s skill set and hasn’t seen anything like it.  I can’t imagine why else he would say anything else like this. We...

Colin Kaepernick flattered by Jaw’s comments

On Wednesday,  ESPN’s Ron Jaworski stated that he believes Colin Kaepernick has a chance to be the best quarterback ever in the NFL. Kaepernick appreciates Jaw’s comment, but he knows he has plenty of work to do. “I’m working,” he responded, via ESPN.com. “To me, it’s a great honor he said that. I’m very flattered by it. But at the same time, I haven’t played a...

Kaepernick gets strong praise from Jaworski

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick received high praise from ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski and managed to take it in stride. ''I truly believe Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever,'' Jaworski said Wednesday on ESPN. ''I love his skill set. I think the sky's the limit.'' Kaepernick was asked how he handles such lofty projections...

Colin Kaepernick Can ‘Arguably’ Be Best Quarterback in History of NFL, Says Ron Jaworski

Colin Kaepernick was certainly good in the seven regular season games and three playoff games he started, but it seems at least one NFL pundit is getting a little ahead of themselves. Ron Jaworski said “I believe Colin Kaepernick can be the best quarterback, arguably, in the history of the NFL,” as transcribed by Evan Silva of Rotoworld. That’s some high praise for a player...

Can Colin Kaepernick become "one of the greatest quarterbacks ever"?

ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski made headlines this week when he suggested that third-year San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick -- who has only seven career regular-season starts to his name -- "could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever." That, of course, is a ridiculously lofty statement. Kaepernick had a fantastic season after...

Ron Jaworski: ‘Colin Kaepernick Could Be One Of The Greatest QBs Ever’

Ron Jaworski was a pretty decent NFL quarterback, and he likes to deem himself an elite evaluator of talent at the position. Jaworski has raised eyebrows before with his comments about quarterbacks, and really has the axle spinning with remarks he made about 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Jaworski while talking to the Associated Press, said that “Kaepernick cold be one of...

Ron Jaworski: Colin Kaepernick could be one of the greatest quarterbacks ever

There are two things that I’m beginning to notice about ESPN NFL Analyst Ron Jaworksi. He likes to make very strong statements about quarterbacks in the NFL. (See: Joe Flacco has the strongest arm in the NFL)  He likes to make very strong statements about quarterbacks in the NFL that cause most to roll their eyes. (Also see: Joe Flacco has the strongest arm in the NFL) Jaworski’s...

Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick? The ongoing debate

Which QB Will Be Remembered? “Heroes are remembered, but legends never die.” This is the classic quote from The Babe in the movie The Sandlot. It states that heroic acts can define a moment in time, but being a hero can define a person — making them legendary. The Seattle Seahawks‘ Russell Wilson and the 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick have fallen into one of the most unique situations...

Vikings' counter to read-option scheme begins with Niners

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- NFL teams use this week's third preseason game as the dry run for the regular season by simulating a regular work week as much as possible, adding in film study and game planning and then playing starters many times into the third quarter.
