Roy Williams has accepted the fact that he has a lot of doubters. Heck, he had a pleasant, post-practice conversation recently with Michael Irvin, who has offered some harsh public criticism of the coachable wide receiver. "Everybody thinks I suck," Williams said. "I just have something to prove." Williams didn't sound bitter when he said that. Speaking in an even tone, he delivered the line in matter-of-fact manner. "I had 19 catches in 10 games last year, and they pay me X amount of money," Williams said. "For a guy to catch 19 balls, I'm going to get tabbed that I suck." For the record, Williams doesn't believe he sucked last season. He said it was simply a matter of the quarterback not knowing him well enough to throw him the ball.
