TEAMS: Detroit Lions
Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush didn’t get much respect in Miami, as their free agency spending spree showed, Bush was a mere afterthought. Before leaving South Florida, Bush proved he wasn’t injury prone putting up two solid seasons for the Dolphins. Bush chose the Lions, a passing offense that requires a good receiving back that operates well in open space, a Bush specialty. Jahvid Best was that option, but concussions have virtually ended his career and the team had to move on. After making the 2011 playoffs, the Lions misfired badly and missed in 2012. Bush is an integral part of getting the team back to the playoffs, and his previous experience winning a championship with the New Orleans Saints, also brings solid leadership. He’s on a mission to prove that Miami made a mistake letting him go, and that coming to Detroit is because he feels the team is close to contending for a championship. "I came here to work," Bush said, via Chris McCosky of the Detroit News. "I didn't come here to vacation. I came here to win championships, to win football games, and that's what I look forward to doing." "As long as we take care of business here, this can be an amazing place. I think it has a lot to offer. I look forward to getting into that stadium and hearing those fans be as loud as ever."
