As most know, Tuesday is the normal players' day off, so there's not much going on. No access. No emails from the team, which usually is the case. They don't typically announce any moves on Tuesday.
What we do have, aside from a "We've Got Game"radio show appearance I just completed with a couple friends from Fort Wayne, is some talk about the need for a fourth safety and wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez being disgruntled as a No. 4.
As it turns out, the Colts had a fourth safety all along in undrafted rookie cornerback Brandon King. That's the story out of the complex Monday, that the Purdue product can be used at safety, as he played one year for the Boilermakers. This would give the team four safeties, which is essential given the frequency of injuries at the position, or more specifically, how often Bob Sanders gets dinged.
I'm not sure if that was the Colts' plan all along, but if King can play, it's a great addition to have a guy who ...
