It appears quarterback Andrew Luck will now have a little more help on the defensive side of the ball, as the Indianapolis Colts today signed unrestricted free agent safety LaRon Landry. "We're ecstatic about this signing," said General Manager Ryan Grigson. "We feel LaRon is an absolute game changer and a true impact player. We're talking about a 220-pound safety that runs 4.3 and plays to that speed. His approach to the game and his style of play are lights out and embody the culture we're building on the defense and this team in general." In what turned out to be a frenzied day of NFL free agent signings, Indianapolis announced the deal just a few hours after safety Dashon Goldson left San Francisco to sign with Tampa Bay. Landry, 6-0, 220 pounds, started 79-of-80 games played with the Washington Redskins (2007-2011) and New York Jets (2012)...

New York Jets – Patience With A Purpose

The lazy approach to covering the New York Jets off-season (see many of the beat writers) is acting in any way surprised about people like Shonn Greene, Dustin Keller, LaRon Landry and Mike DeVito are leaving.
