James Varney of The Times-Picayune reports today that safety Usama Young will be signing with the team tomorrow according to his agent Andy Simms:
New Orleans Saints safety Usama Young will sign his one-year tender offer with the team Thursday, the deadline for restricted free agents to sign with another team. His agent, Andy Simms, confirmed the player’s decision Wednesday afternoon.
A three-year veteran out of Kent State, Young will be 25 years old next month. In addition to filling backup roles in the secondary he has also contributed on special teams since the Saints picked him the third round of the 2007 draft.
