Saints Post:
Well, Jake Ingram’s tenure as a member of the New Orleans Saints was a short one.
Ingram, who was signed by the Saints on Saturday to fill in after long snapper Jason Kyle was placed on the injured reserve list, was released by the Saints following a subpar performance during Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Justin Drescher, a 21-year-old rookie out of the University of Colorado, was signed by the team on Monday to fill the long snapper void left by Ingram’s release.
Although Ingram’s stint with the Saints was short, he did not do a lot to impress the team during his stay with the team. A poor snap led to a missed extra point after a Saints touchdown, and Saints kicker Garrett Hartley missed a 27-yard field goal, even though Saints coach Sean Payton said that the hold and snap on the missed field goal were fine.
