NEW ORLEANS - JANUARY 24: Drew Brees #9 (R) and Mark Brunell #11 of the New Orleans Saints celebrate after their 31-28 overtime win against the Minnesota Vikings during the NFC Championship Game at the Louisiana Superdome on January 24, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Things are not looking great in The Big Easy as the New Orleans Saints dropped their 4th game and fell to 0-4 to start the season. It’s still very early in the season, but should fans in New Orleans already be panicking? Drew Brees and the offense have looked good for the most part, but the biggest issue for the Saints has been their defense. In their last 2 games, New Orleans has blown 4th quarter leads in losses to both the Chiefs and the Packers. It definitely seems like the Saints are missing their star linebacker, Jonathan Vilma, who was placed on the physically unable to perform list for a knee injury and will miss at least  2 more weeks. They have also been without head coach Sean Payton who was suspended for his involvement in the Saint’s bounty scandal. The Saints still have plenty of time to turn their season around, but they have a tough road ahead of them if they expect to catch their division rivals in the Atlanta Falcons, who are off to a fantastic 4-0 start. New Orleans will be looking to bounce back next weekend when they take on the San Diego Chargers at the Superdome.
