I've had the same poll up on the left hand side of the blog forever, so it's time for a new one. My previous question was regarding the Saints' new free agents, and which you were most excited about. Curtis Lofton landed 70.6% of the vote, so you the fans clearly picked him as the guy you were most excited about. And sure enough, he's the only that's really lived up to the hype. Ben Grubbs had 11.7% of the vote, Brodrick Bunkley had 10.1% and David Hawthorne had just 4.9%. It's funny how that worked out because I would order them the same way based on their performance the first three weeks. Thanks for your participation and please vote on the new poll on the left hand side of the site. This time I'm curious what you're mood is given the Saints 0-3 start. Are you ready to take a chainsaw to Roger Goodell's car? Are you so sad you've crawled into a corner in your basement never to return? Let me know how you are feeling.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- This is new territory for quarterback Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. Super Bowl champions just 31 months ago, the Saints are now a mess. ESPN conducting a character study of Jonathan Vilma and Gregg Williams

According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, ESPN is working on a character study of both Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams. “A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that ESPN plans to televise this weekend a “character study TV feature” on Saints linebacker Jonathan Vilma and former Saints defensive coordinator...

Urgency could turn to desperation after week four

There are a number of enticing games as we enter week four of the NFL season. Still, the most intriguing game of the week involves a 1-2 team and an 0-3 team. That game, of course, is Sunday when the New Orleans Saints travel to Green Bay in what could become their last stand for saving their season. The Saints have become a caricature of all teams stuck at 1-2 or worse. The...

Saints stumbling through tough time

A street performer covered from head to toe in sparkling paint sits atop a garbage can on Bourbon Street. Above his battered tip bucket is a cardboard sign that reads, "To NFL Roger Goodell." The "Gold Man" then sends his message for the cameras with a middle-finger salute -- and he says business has never been better. Not far from New Orleans Saints headquarters...

Saints defense needs a new attitude

The last quarterback the NFL's lowest-ranked defense should want to face next? Aaron Rodgers. But if the New Orleans Saints are going to rise from the league basement, finding a way to stymie the NFL's reigning Most Valuable Player is a must in Sunday's game at Green Bay (4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, FOX). Among the biggest reasons for the Saints' 0-3 start is a defense...

New Orleans Saints at Green Bay Packers: Week 4 NFL Pick

New Orleans Saints (0-3) at Green Bay Packers (1-2) The Saints and Packers are a combined 1-5 three weeks in the season. Raise your hand if you saw that coming. I strangely see no hands. This is a huge, must win game for both teams, and given that we should expect huge performances from both quarterbacks. You know it’s really not sitting well with both of these quarterbacks that...

Packers, Saints struggles: Return of the defense?

The New Orleans Saints and Green Bay Packers have been two of the NFC’s best for the past 3 years and have had some of the most explosive offenses in history, largely due to the play of their all-pro QBs, Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers. This year, the pass-happy offenses that lit up the league [...] [[ This is a content summary only. Visit my website for full links, other content, and more! ]]
