The Saints Nation:
New Orleans Saints
I'd love to gush over how awesome the offense was, but they had numerous opportunities to kill this game and they simply didn't. The offense settled all too often for long field goals when their drives stalled. The team's inability to convert third and manageable was most maddening in this one, though the lack of success running the ball certainly didn't help move the chains either. The offense made some plays, no doubt, but the big plays came most often from the defense and special teams in this one. Luckily for the Saints John Kasay converted on a number of long kicks I didn't expect him to hit to help cash in inefficient drives into points. The 16 carries for 41 yards was lame, and the 43 passes to 16 rushes is hardly a semblance of balance... but what I found most positive about this game was Brees only getting hit twice, no sacks and most importantly no turnovers. The Saints' offense avoided all major mistakes, and ultimately that's why they won the ...

ATLANTA -- Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints' passing attack can be so efficient and so lethal at times that it can inspire opponents to do some unusual things.
Like going for it on fourth-and-inches in overtime from your own 29-yard line.
On Sunday the Saints came away with a key NFC South victory, 26-23 in overtime over host Atlanta, when Falcons head coach Mike Smith...
Week 10 of the NFL season has nearly come and gone. Let's look back at 7 feats of statistical awesomeness.
1. New Orleans quarterback DREW BREES passed for 322 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints’ 26-23 overtime win at Atlanta. Brees leads the NFL with 3,326 passing yards, the most yards through the first 10 games of a season in NFL history.
Brees has now thrown a touchdown...
If we Saints fans didn’t hate the Falcons so much, we’d probably feel sorry for them. After all, it has to suck to have your own dome taken over by chants of a rival team. It must sting to watch the Who Dat Nation second-line around your stadium, year…after year…after year. It’s gotta hurt to see Drew Brees make himself at home in the Georgia Dome so often, in a way...
On Friday night’s edition of NBC SportsTalk on VERSUS, Saints coach Sean Payton joined the show via satellite for an interview. He said there’s no update as to the contract talks between the team and quarterback Drew Brees. Signed in 2006, Brees’ six-year deal expires after the current season. Though the parties were talking earlier…
The up and down season continues for the New Orleans Saints, with a 27-16 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday. The win was only the second in the last four games, improving their record to five and three, maintaining a small lead in the NFC South division. The good news was the Saints rushed for almost 200 yards, their best rushing game in several years. They maintained...

Why Watch To witness the changing of the guard. Payton Manning is out. His return is not certain. The top three quarterbacks of the old guard -- Drew Brees, Philip Rivers and Tom Brady -- have thrown double-digit interceptions. Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers ...
In a quarterback-driven NFL, the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars lack the required direction. Green Bay's Aaron Rodgers has a 129.1 passer rating through eight games and, along with New Orleans' Drew Brees and New England's Tom Brady, is on pace to eclipse Dan Marino's single-season record for passing yards.
