A day after he announced he was leaving the team because he no longer had a passion for football, C Olin Kreutz has been released by the Saints. The 14-year vet, who spent the first 13 seasons of his career with the Bears, signed with New Orleans over the summer to be the leader of the offensive line. That won't happen now, as the team has decided to officially part ways with Kreutz. OT Alex Barron, who had been on the Saints' injured-reserve list, was also released on Saturday by the team. QB Sean Canfield was re-signed by the team after having been released at the end of training camp.
